I, Jeanne Motteram, Managing Director of Colomba Property, created this business after many years of working in a wide variety of industries and wanting a way to help others in a way many won’t.
- Police – investigations – 11 years as a police officer in various roles, ending my career as a Detective Brevet Sergeant at the Anti-Corruption Branch.
- Residential building industry – 10 plus years with roles involving design, contract and project management, as well as renovating, buying and selling my own homes.
- Hospitality – working in a variety of locations learning what it takes to provide great customer service, especially at the Emirates One and Only 6-star resort in the Blue Mountains.
- Volunteer – with the Cancer Council, at an aged care facility, charity / op shop distributions centres, to know what items the charities want to benefit them.
My love of property, renovating old homes and building new ones, plus my attention to detail, organisational plus project and time management skills ensures your home will be cleared and cleaned on time and on budget.
I have driven much of the coastline and lived in various parts of Australia and enjoy listening to client’s life stories. I have moved my personal belongings east to west and north to south across the country, so know what it takes.
Jeanne is a Maroochydore Rotarian and was guest speaker at the club in Feb 2020.
As a team, we enjoy working through the mammoth task of sorting through, packing and moving items and clearing a home. The reward we receive is of seeing a once full home being turned in to an exceptionally clean empty space ready for the next family to make it their own. Meanwhile, our clients are a lot more relaxed than if they did it themselves.
We know all too well that packing up and moving home is both physically and emotionally taxing and a lot of compassion is required when helping seniors or friends and family of the deceased.
If you are concerned about the state of your home, please be reassured we have been in many homes in various state of repair, with a whole range of personal belongings, so nothing is likely to surprise us.
Our values include being honest, ethical, caring, compassionate and respectful of others as well as working hard.
We will provide you with the best professional service based on our qualifications, years of experience and willingness to meet your needs.
Behind the name – ‘Colomba’
I named my business after my grand-mother, Ruve, who has owned, designed and managed her own properties since the 1950’s. Ruve is considered a wonderful person, mother, grand and great grand-mother by all in her life and she is still going strong at age 97. She was a teacher and has volunteered for the Hospital Auxiliary, Rotary and National Trust.
Like me, she hates the cold but loves the water and travel.
The name Ruve means Dove in Fijian, whilst Colomba means Dove in Italian.
For me, Dove means peace, whilst the idea of being able to fly gives us freedom, all which I want to give to others by providing services that give many benefits to you.
