About the Buderim project.
Jeanne met with the clients (mother and daughter), for a free in-home consultation. Following this, the home clearance services of Colomba Property were engaged to move from a Buderim retirement village unit to an aged care facility in Noosaville. Jeanne was instructed to send a variety of items to Victoria and Noosa but also to look out for certain documents and records. Other than that, the rest was to be donated or thrown out.
Jeanne’s hard work, knowledge and experience allowed her to have all the items in the house sorted packed and moved within a week. Items were sold, many items donated to The Salvation Army and Neighbours Aid charities with the remaining rubbish being taken to the refuse centre.
Jeanne did find the records and documents as well as $1050 cash, gold rings (in the linen cupboard) and other items, she considered may have been forgotten about. After consulting with the clients, additional treasured items were packed and couriered to family members.
On consultation with the retirement village unit managers, Jeanne completed additional minor maintenance and cleaning of the unit to ensure it was ready for handover to the managers.
During this time, the daughter was able to spend more time with her mum before returning to Melbourne to work. All the while, the client was being well looked after in her new room in an aged care facility.
The clients were able to get the Buderim retirement unit back in the hands of the facility managers, so it could be sold sooner than later.
